Soren loves you....
Soren was very happy and talkative tonight after mommy came home. I started a new part-time job today - watching my Grandson while my daughter-in-love returns to work. We had a great day together! I am blessed... I love being a Grandma!

Not Just Any Old Day - jewelry!
http://www.notjustanyoldday.com/
I just found this website for jewelry and other items to help you commemorate special occasions. I especially love the charm bracelet and cake server. You could use this jewelry to "mark" any day - wedding, birthday, etc. I love having things in my life that help me remember momentous occasions. Check it out....

Bakerella and "cake pops"
http://bakerella.blogspot.com/
I love this site. Look at these adorable Easter treats. This is the website where I learned to make "cake balls" - I'm sorry, I just don't have another name for them. I have been making a lot of them for an upcoming party. I have made vanilla ones and red velvet and this week I'm going for chocolate and strawberry. I'll let you know how they turn out - not this pretty, that's for sure. I love "Bakerella"!

Fun ideas from TheKnot.com
I love finding new, creative ideas on TheKnot.com. I'm not a yellow person, but I love the idea of the lemons in the vases. I would do limes and green, pink or white orchids. New color combos that I love are red and lime green, red and turquoise, gray/silver and purple - and lots of combos with brown - red, pink, yellow, green. Be creative, live on the edge - go for color!

What I'm doing right now....
Cake Balls
My latest adventure - cake balls! My daughter found the recipe on www.bakerella.com. They taste incredible and for my first attempt - they are pretty too! You bake a cake, crumble it and mix it with icing, roll in balls and dip in chocolate. The "cupcakes" take another step, but they were pretty easy to make - it just took a little time. It was an experiment and it was fun.

Outdoor concert at the Ritz at Beaver Creek.
This was so fun - while we were eating lunch outside at the Ritz, they started setting up for an outdoor concert. The gang took a couple runs up on the mountain while we waited for the concert to start. "Rooney" is the band and they were great. The lead singer played "Michael" in "The Princess Diaries". Right before they started playing the snow began to fall and it came down hard. It was so much fun sitting outside, drinking hot chocolate and hot buttered rum and listening to the band. What an awesome treat.

The Ritz at Beaver Creek Colorado
Last weekend I was visiting friends in Colorado and we went skiing at Beaver Creek. Well, everyone went skiing except for me. I spent time visiting shops, fireplaces, comfy chairs, etc. I got a call to meet the gang at the Ritz for lunch and while I was waiting for them to arrive down the slopes, I went roaming the halls and found a flurry of activity on a wedding reception! Here are a few shots I took. It was beautiful - an asian flare with white cherry blossoms and lots of candles. The room was set up for two events - dinner and dancing. The venue was split with black drapes that separated dinner from the "dance club". The entrance was a lined with candles and a red carpet and rose petals. As a planner, it was a treat to stumble upon this .... Enjoy the photos!

My daughter's wedding gown!
This is a beautiful gown from Atelier Aimee. My daughter and I found it in the February/March issue of Brides Magazine. This is Sarah's dream dress. God hasn't brought a man into her life yet, but we've got the dressed picked out. I think we need a trip to NYC to buy it!
The necklace reminds me of jewelry showcased by my friend, Maria Gal with "Pop Jewels" from "Tie the Knot" boutique in Naples, FL.
