Happy 1st Anniversary Stephen & Elizabeth! (repost)

Last weekend my husband, Jim; daughter, Sarah; the amazing photographer, Ashley Brockinton and her lovely mother, Jill traveled to Lake George to celebrate the marriage of Stephen & Elizabeth! I was privileged to coordinate the details for the delightful and creative bride and my husband officiated the wedding. By Friday afternoon, I was in total "wedding mode" and was amazed at the wedding details that the bride organized.

Elizabeth works at Anthropologia in their "visual" department. She thought of everything and, with the help of friends, made everything: mustaches for the "guest book" photo "booth", brown paper bag table cloth "overlays", her dad cut the wood, she wrapped miscellaneous jars with twine, etc. She even made the cake topper out of twigs in the letter "B"!

The wedding was held at the YMCA at Silver Bay. The scenery was beautiful, the photo opps were many, the staff was outstanding - all in all - it is a great place for a destination wedding. Erin & Michelle went above and beyond to make this event extra special. Everything ran so smoothly and the food was delicious. The staff was very attentive and took care of all the details. Totally loved working with them. They have my highest recommendation - THANK YOU Erin & Michelle!

My favorite moment was when they started saying their vows and the groom began, "I, Stephen, take you Elizabeth ...." Stephen has waited a long time for God to bring him his wife. When he introduced her to us months ago, he said, "Wasn't she worth waiting for?" I was doing the "happy dance" in the back of the church.

Enjoy a few photos of the details - I can't wait to see Ashley Brockinton Photography's pics - I got a glimpse this weekend - you're gone just flip!!!!

Happy Anniversary Sam & Ashley!

I love the Brockintons! They are so wonderful together - professionally and personally! Here are a few photos from Ashley & Sam's wedding 6 years ago today.

I was her coordinator and my husband gave the message at the ceremony. It was a beautiful day.

These are photos that I took. She might kill me when she sees these!!! It was a beautiful, God honoring and fabulously fun day. Their recessional song was "Signed, Sealed, Delivered" - totally hysterical and totally them! I remember Ashley's dad making a few funny comments and then asking that someone keep him away from the microphone.

Happy Anniversary you two!

Happy Birthdays!

Today is my daughter-in-love's birthday and my grandson's 5 month birthday! What a great, fun day - tonight we will celebrate at Sarah's parent's house with a mexican fiesta - I can't wait. It is such a joy to have Sarah Lynn in our lives: she loves and respects my son, is being a wonderful mother to our grandson and I am honored to call her my dear friend - we have a lot of fun together. I am truly blessed beyond measure.

Here is a recent photo taken by Ashley Brockinton of Ashley Brockinton Photography and Red Box Studio. We get to view more tomorrow at her new studio in Bonita!

Soren is sitting beside me playing with a ball. All of my children are asleep and enjoying a quiet morning. I love being able to give my daughter-in-love some extra sleep in the morning - they surprised me last night when I arrived home from Gainesville and ended up spending the night. I love this.

I wish you could see Soren's face right now - he is mesmerized by the screen - so incredibly cute. I need to go dry my hair. I'm going to head to church - my honey bear is playing bass this morning and I am going to spend the whole morning thanking God for His blessings upon our family!

Have a great holiday weekend!

Way to go Ashley & Sam Brockinton - its so great to be able to work with you two and Ashley Albee! Congratulations!

From Ashley's blog:

Yesterday at the Ashley Brockinton Photography studio, while I was surfing the web looking for things we were mentioned in and I just stumbled upon one of the pictures we took for the showcase for planner, Kelly McWilliams, on Wedding Channel.com! WAHOO! How sweet is that? Sweet as candy sweet! Special thanks to wedding planner, Mary Hines of Chandelier Productions, who designed and planned for the showcase!

Ashley & Sam Brockinton just opened their new studio in Bonita Springs. They are awesome photographers and dear friends. I was able to coordinate their wedding 5 years ago and have know Ashley for much longer than that - I love her and her family, her extended family and her staff including Ashley Albee. Ashley and Sam have been holding a series of Grand Opening events. Here are a few photos (these are from my little Canon Power Shot - my Grandson gave it to me for Christmas!):

My day and my fortune!

I am fortunate and blessed to work out of my home. I am also extremely honored to be able to watch my grandson a few days a week while my daughter-in-law works at Senator Martinez's office! By the way, I have an awesome daughter-in-law - my son is Ok too! Today included dipping fortune cookies for Ashley Brockinton Photography's studio grand opening (I'm pretending to be a caterer as well as an event coordinator) and playing with Soren. Here are a few pictures from my day...
